I just realized valentine’s day went by without any romantic song or one that makes you pine for a lost love. I did however big up a friends track that remixed the notorious woman beating chris brown, and for that I am sorry. This is one of my favorite songs when I’m feeling in the mood for love. Also here is an awesome picture from reddit today. Convey’s the loneliness that we can all feel even when surrounded by people every second of every day. I don’t mean to seem morose, but c’mon! May your days after valentines be filled with discount candy and useless yet surprisingly affordable stuffed bears.

Voodoo Chili – Love Songs

Happy valentines internet. Recently my good friends Alex D. Wolf and Drift Boost opened for dbridge at Cervantes in Denver and I feel I did them both a disservice by not mentioning it here. Both of them killed it with wildly different styles and sounds, while Drift had plenty of downtempo dubstep to go around, Alex stayed funky and played a lot of UK Garage. dBridge – ZX81

This video’s been floating around for a little while and I must say, at least for me personally, this song is awesome. I am not an avid connoisseur of waffles or grass, yet the beat has the driving force of other new hip-hop artists like OFWGKTA and the lyrics are catchy to say the least. I haven’t been able to find an official EP release, but the download for the song is in the youtube description. I’ll also post it here.

Flatbush Zombies – Thug Waffle

Two tracks today, on completely opposite ends of the spectrum. First is a relatively new Kromestar and Sun of Selah track. Very low key and groovy. I hadn’t heard Sun of Selah before, but I’ll defintely be checking out some more stuff. Completely opposite from the low key Kromestar is the rather successful Bare. Releasing a number of big name tracks last year, Bare has been working on more collaborations as of late, but as always his production is very tight. Life is an oldie, but a goodie. Enjoy.
